Government Agency

A government agency may be established by either a national government or a state government, set by a legislation or by executive powers. A permanent or semi-permanent organization in the machinery of government, these entities are responsible to oversee the administration’s specific functions, manage resources, financial oversight of industries, or national security issues. Government agencies also provide legal frameworks to incorporate and facilitate access to information for the general public and democratic institutions.
