Started out as an asset manager, Jonathan Gray is now the President and Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Group. He joined the firm fresh out of college in 1992 and later on headed the firm's prestigious real estate group. Under his supervision, the company's real estate investments rose to the hierarchy of the most expensive portfolios, with $120bn in assets. He's appraised as a prospective successor to co-founder and CEO Stephen Schwarzman. Gray is also a known philanthropist.
